The Lost Cause

Today was a horrible day. Ella and I met up to finish our editing and all of the work we did had not been saved. Everything deleted, all of our editing and progress deleted so we had to restart the entire process. Luckily, after our mistake of deleted a scene last time, we saved all of our footage in a special file on my computer so it would be easily accessible. However, we had to go through all of our videos again and choose the ones we liked. We also had to reorganize everything and reload it back into order into the iMovie app. After we got all of the downloading done, we got to work on redoing our transitions. This entire beginning process took us almost an hour and a half due to the amount of work we lost from the last day of editing. After we finished, Ella and I began to insert our captioning into the movie. The captioning was the texts with the labels of "Producer", "Writer", "Actors", etc. This process was severely difficult because we didn't want the captioning to distract from the movie however the text needed to be bold enough to be seen by the viewers. We decided to put them in background areas of the scene so they looked more seamlessly edited. We decided on a lighter smaller font withy a white coloring for a pop in color, however in some scenes the light was brighter so we had to change the text color to black so it would point out. After about two hours we finally finished that editing. We wanted to continue on with editing to finish it, however my parents are so strict on me so I had to go home. It makes it so difficult to film and work with Ella because I have certain times to be home and certain times when I go out. On top of that Ella and I both have jobs so it makes it difficult for us to find times to meet. Ella's parents are also strict so it takes lots of organization and planning to meet. Our next time to meet is this week to finish our music editing and just to go over small edits. We will see you our next editing day!
