First Scene: The first scene will be an opening of a flashback of the couple at the beach having fun, there will be jump-cut transitions between these shots, however the shots will be filmed at the beach in the same day just with different angles and ideas on what the couple is doing to make the scene more interesting.  Second Scene: The female lead is crying in bed reminiscing on the memories of the couple together, the scene matches along with the music and we wanted to include a difference of both sides of the heartbreak where everything was all perfect ad where it faded into a heartbreak. The scene will be shot at a high angle facing lower so that the actress seems fragile and upset.  Third scene: This scene will be a high angle shot down onto two phones, the couple will be texting each other the lyrics of the song that correspond.  Fourth scene: In the fourth scene we will attempt to make a split screen edit to see what happened on both sides of the breakup at the same time, the

Props:  The props I will be using are makeup, a car, different costumes, a rose, and a phone. Other props being included later on will be further listed.  Costumes:  For the costumes we are planning to wear, I plan to have one clip have the couple dressed up, the lady in a dress and the man in a polo and dressy shorts, this scene will represent the finer times in the relationship, we will use these costumes for a dinner scene or a reunited scene. The second costume we plan to use is a messy outfit for both actors, an example of "messy" is sweatpants and a loose shirt or sweatshirt, these costumes will be used in the emotional breakup scenes and reminiscing scenes of the couple. There will probably be beachwear involved with our video as well, however it is not fully decided due to unknown weather patterns on the days we plan to film. Lastly, the costumes will be one or two casual looks, an example being jeans and a nice shirt or a nice casual dress. These outfits will be use

Researching my video!

My project is a music video to the song PayPhones by Maroon 5. The genre for this music video is Pop and R&B. To understand how to fully conduct a music video to this genre I researched the Top 20 music videos to this genre of music. In these music videos, there are typically some sort of love interests and there is almost always scenes of parties or fun events happening when the beat drops and the rhythm picks up throughout the music.  EDITING: In the research I conducted for my music video, I noticed lots of editing and transitional shots all corresponding. There are many different types of editing typically involving jump cuts and fade in and fade outs to transition the scenes smoothly. When the song goes slower, the transitions are faded and more relaxed however when the music pace speeds up, the transitions change to jumpsuits to make the edit faster. Another edit that appeared a lot in these videos was split screens, these split screens showed off the different perspectives o

For my music video I decided to work on my own. My original plan was to work in a group, however I get distracted in groups and frustrated when my team member don't do much work. I had a group I wanted to work with however I was not included so I decided to leave the situation. I believe that I can accomplish much more working on my own, I have so many ideas and it is beyond exciting! I have not yet chosen a song, however I believe I am going to make a very calming song by Frank Ocean. Some ideas I have are a fun beach day with friends, having a romantic video with my boyfriend, or video scenes from different adventures I go on with my friends! My friends are a huge part of my life and I think it would make an amazing music video to include those important people and have the audience relate because their friends are a big part of their life too. I want the video to be fun, energetic, and full of memories. Some inspiration I have is older music videos from around 2006-2009. Workin

I am in my Junior year of high school, leaning towards gaining a higher education to do big things in life. My motto is get the hard work down now, so towards the future its all light work and prevail. I am in the Cambridge AICE program because I love to challenge myself. I am a hardworking student and I also love to film! AICE Media Studies was the perfect class to suit my personal interests. As for my family, my mom is from Chernovsti, Ukraine and my dad is from Ohio. As a child, I would be brought up to Ukraine every summer up until last year due to COVID-19. I speak and understand fluent Ukrainian and I also understand Russian. Unlike other teens, I love to work, my parents taught me that with growing up, there is a constant need to chase the memories and the money. My dad likes to say, "memories cost money, and that's why we don't have many". I got my first job w
