Another Rainy Day
The second day of production was definitely a difficult one. The weather was not looking well at all and it was so difficult to find a way to meet up with my partner. However, we did accomplish a lot of scenes this day. We drove to another area in my neighborhood to record the last scene of us jumping into each others arms and we also filmed the sad scene. The most difficult scene to film was the sad scene where I am looking through memories because it was genuinely difficult to find a good angle so that the viewers can understand what is going on. The other scene was easy to film and didn't take much time at all. I started to download these clips onto my computer and begin the editing process even without the rest of the filming done. I had most of my scenes done besides for about two or three and I wanted to begin the editing process such as choosing the particular part of the song I want to use, editing the clips, and importing them tin to match with the music. I spent about two hours cleaning up the video and changing the effects of the transitions throughout the video to make it look as smooth as possible. More things were changed in these scenes because like last time, we didn't have transportation or the weather was not cooperating that day. One of the scenes we changed was where the couple is supposed to sitting, doing homework together, this was changed to the couple cuddling watching a movie. Another thing that was changed was how I edited the clips, I wanted to exaggerate the effects of the sad scenes so I made them black and white and kept the happier scenes as normal color. This gives viewers a difference between the happy and sad moments and expresses to them how the actors felt through those moments. It is beyond difficult to get the timing completely correct on these video clips because there is so much editing that needs to be done to make it perfect. The time of the video has to reach 1 min, 15 seconds. This makes it difficult because the different transitions lengthen the clips giving less time for the actual content and videos, and the song needs to correlate with what is going on in the music video as well. I genuinely believed the process of the music video would be easy but it is very difficult. However, with the help of my partner I got everything done and I got the video exactly how I wanted it. The next production day I will be filming the last scenes in the gym and probably reshooting some scenes that I feel aren't particularly fitting for the music video.
