Title Research: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
The next movie we decided to do research on was the movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. We chose this movie because its a well known action movie that is very high rated and the title sequence for this movie was absolutely astonishing. This movie's title sequence describes how a movie or television show presents its title, key production elements, and cast members using visuals and sound. They included the director, the actors, screenplay maker, screen story maker, the producers, editors, and other important figures in the making of the movie. This is important because it gives acknowledgement to the people who contributed big parts into making the movie. In the opening sequence there are many images shown, but the main images are slowed down warriors fighting, they seem to be made out of crystals or water breaking apart as they are struck through and then the title of who was being acknowledged would come onto the screen. This title sequence carries connotations with the movie because the concept is warriors fighting and that surrounds the movie and what happened in the movie perfectly. In the movie there was fighting, war, and lots of action going on all of the time leaving viewers at the edge of their seats. The film itself being in the genre of action gave viewers a sense of excitement. While watching a movie, a person feels as if he is traveling with the hero, experiencing the same pain, joy, and excitement, and becomes one with him in his imagination. With its blend of engaging characters, thrilling set-pieces, and general feeling of escapism, the genre of action appeals to a wide variety of audiences therefor making it enjoyable for anybody. The camera and technology used for this movie was the Panavised Arri Alexa LF and Mini LF digital cameras. The Panavised Arri Alexa LF costs $98,200. The Mini Lf digital camera costs $58,760. The reason for using these specific cameras is because they are designed for perfect quality to be produced onto a movie screen. The details are in perfect detail and there are no pixelated areas or glitches in the scenery. The specific camera usage has to be very precise with big movies like these because everything has to be perfect for viewers to fully indulge in the movie. The technology used for this movie had to produce the perfect scenes and then there was lots of editorial work done on the scenes as well to create the effects, the sound, the background, and the scene changes. The movie itself is a pure action movie that enraptures the audience perfectly. This movie gave us lots on intel on how to create the perfect title sequence.
